Prayer Ministry

Prayer – Depending on God; an intimacy with God that leads to the fulfillment of His purposes.

Thomas Road Baptist Church has a great history of believing prayer.  Dr. Falwell spoke many times of his own prayer experiences which transformed his heart and shaped his ministry.  For over five decades, faithful saints have labored in prayer in a variety of settings seeking the Lord’s grace and blessing in all that we do.

Today, as the church is experiencing a resurgence of growth and spiritual energy, we are declaring our dependence on God in fresh and new ways.  Prayer is not the only thing we do – we just want it to be the first thing we do.

We invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities to join with others in the various prayer gatherings we offer.  We also want to equip you to become more effective in your personal prayer life though tools like our brand new edition of the 29:59 Prayer Guide.  Visit often to find out about special prayer events and training opportunities.

Lord, teach us to pray!
