Jesus to the City: Door-to-Door Project
As we celebrate 70 years of faith at Thomas Road, we are going back to our roots—how this church began.
In 1956, Pastor Jerry Falwell Sr. launched Thomas Road by personally knocking on doors across Lynchburg, inviting people to be part of what God was building. That simple, faithful step of obedience is still part of our story today.
We’re calling this citywide outreach “Jesus to the City” (Luke 10). Our goal is bold but simple: to knock on every door in Lynchburg and personally share God’s love with our community.
Lynchburg is a large city with nearly 30,000 doors, and we can’t do this alone. That’s where you come in.
We’re asking each participating family to visit 10 front doors, delivering a gift bag from Thomas Road that includes:
-
A Bible
-
An information card
-
A free drink coupon
-
An invitation to Easter at TRBC
If you’re willing to help, follow the link below to create an account. Once registered, we’ll assign you 10 nearby homes (ideally close to your neighborhood) to visit with your family. After signing up, you’ll receive training instructions and details on when and where to pick up your gift bags.
Together, let’s bring Jesus to the City.
