High school can be the most exciting time of a student’s life. We want to help make it the most meaningful years as well. Our goal is to create environments where students experience positive and lasting relationships, are encouraged to grow in their faith in God, and embrace God’s plan for their lives.

Mission Trips

Each year we have the opportunity to go to exciting locations and share the Good News! We would love for you to join us. See below for details. 

Option 1:

Dates:  July 2-12, 2020
Who:  9th-12th Grade Students
Where:  Timisoara, Romania
Price:  $2000 per person (students and adults). This includes round-trip flights, baggage fees, lodging in hotels, food while in Romania, ground transporation, and free day activities.

There will be in interest meeting on Sunday, October 27 at 5pm in the Living Proof room. Click here to submit an application!  You will need to set up an account on Manage Missions to submit an application.

Feel free to set up your account now and then apply once registration opens.  Applications will be processed and approved in the order that they are received.

Payment Schedule:
$200- Due within 7 days of approval
$350- Payment by December 15, 2019
$350- Payment by February 29, 2020
$350- Payment by March 31, 2020
$375- Payment by April 30, 2020
$375- Payment by May 30, 2020

*Any deposits or donations given by check need to be written to TRBC.  Students can turn them in on a Sunday morning.  Because payments are tax-deductible, they are non-refundable.

Fundraising:
-Students may invite friends and family to support them using their Manage Missions account.
-Support letters can be sent.
-Students may participate in our coffee fundraiser that we are offering through Nov. 3.

Expectations:  This is a missions trip, so we expect every student to display kindness, compassion, respect and love towards one another and towards the people we serve in Romania.  They also must remain an active part of the local church and attend all team training meetings.

We would love for you to join us next Summer for this incredible mission trip to Romania!  We will be serving alongside the Poggemiller family, missionaries to Romania, from right here at Thomas Road. Our team will help facilitate a summer school program that focuses on teaching conversational English to children and teenagers. Other serving options include a VBS at a local church, service projects, and street evangelism.

 

 

OPTION 2: WASHINGTON D.C.

Dates:  July 20-25, 2020
Who:  9th-12th Grade Students
Where:  Washington D.C. & Northern VA
Price:  $450 per person. This includes all transportation, lodging, food, activities and t-shirt, except for one travel meal.

Registration will open Sunday, February 9th at 12AM. You will need to set up an account on Manage Missions to submit an application.

We would love for you to join us this Summer for this incredible mission trip to the Washington D.C area!  We will be serving with a variety of ministries in the area, including Hope Community Center, a ministry that focuses on reaching Middle Eastern families in the NoVa region. This is a special opportunity and we would love for you to be a part of it!


Dates:  November 21st – 26th, 2019

Cost:  $545

This price includes all transportation, both to and from New York and the NYC Metro, 1 group dinner, 2 theater shows/attractions, and a Top of the Rock ticket. Other than the two group dinners, students are responsible for all their meals during the course of the trip.

Where:  New York City

Who:  Class of 2020

What:  Join us for a mission trip to serve in New York City! We will be serving at various ministry locations around the city, as well as sight-seeing. We will be partnering with various organizations doing ministry all around NYC. It will be an amazing trip and we would love for you to be a part of it!

A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your spot on the team. Spots are limited.

High School Ministry exists to be a supplement to the work that you are doing in raising your kids in a Godly way. You are the heroes!

Volunteers

We require all of our volunteers to complete this training before serving with us so they understand the big picture of how we minister our students.
